Dry Needling
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique that involves inserting fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to help relieve pain and muscle tension. Unlike acupuncture, which is based on traditional Chinese medicine principles, dry needling is rooted in Western medicine and anatomy.
During a dry needling session, Dr. Glover will identify and target trigger points, or areas of muscle tightness or spasm, with the needles. The needles are inserted into the skin and muscle tissue, and may be manipulated to help release tension and promote healing.
Dry needling has been shown to be an effective treatment for a range of conditions, including back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sports injuries. It is typically used as part of a broader treatment plan that may include other therapies such as chiropractic care, physical therapy, and exercise.
Radiology
X-rays are a valuable diagnostic tool that can help chiropractors get a better understanding of a patient's condition. In a chiropractic office, X-rays are typically used to assess the structure and alignment of the spine, as well as identify any underlying conditions or injuries that may be causing pain or discomfort, such as disc degeneration.
X-rays can provide detailed images of the bones, joints, and soft tissues of the body, which can help chiropractors make more accurate diagnoses and develop more effective treatment plans. They can also help identify any potential risks or contraindications for certain types of chiropractic care, such as spinal manipulation. Dr. Glover will make an assessment on whether or not x-rays are needed.
Pre-natal Chiropractic Care
Prenatal chiropractic care is a type of chiropractic treatment that is specifically designed for pregnant women. During pregnancy, the body undergoes many changes that can affect the musculoskeletal system, including changes in posture, weight distribution, and hormone levels. These changes can cause discomfort and pain, and may even affect the health of the developing fetus.
Dr. Glover is trained to provide safe and effective care for pregnant women, using gentle techniques that are tailored to the unique needs of each patient. Prenatal chiropractic care can help alleviate common pregnancy-related symptoms such as back pain, sciatica, and headaches, as well as promote overall health and wellness for both mother and baby.
